$1,500 WSTF Scholarships Available

The Wisconsin State Telecommunications Foundation (WSTF) will be awarding 30 scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each to graduating high school seniors throughout the State of Wisconsin. High school seniors graduating in 2010 are eligible for the WSTF scholarships. Academic excellence is taken into consideration, but is not paramount to receiving one of the scholarships. The primary considerations are: expression of a sincere desire to continue education, a demonstrated ability to do so, and financial need. Mosaic Telecom will be sponsoring individuals who reside within our telephone serving areas and have our land line telephone service provided over the PSTN (public switched telephone network).

Interested seniors must submit their application to their guidance counselor by February 4, 2010.

Mosaic Telecom Offers $5,000 in Scholarships in 2010

Mosaic Telecom recognizes the overwhelming need for privately supported scholarships to help area high school students reach their goal of furthering their education. With this in mind, Mosaic Telecom will be awarding 10 scholarships in the amount of $500 each to area students in 2010.

To be considered for a scholarship, the following criteria must be met:

Scholarship program criteria: Candidate must be a high school senior graduating in 2010. The parent(s), foster parent(s), or guardian(s) of the student must reside in Mosaic Telecom’s serving areas and subscribe to Mosaic Telecom’s telephone service

Scholarships will be awarded to those who meet eligibility requirements and submit the winning essays on the topic, "How Have Cellular Phones Impacted Communication Styles?" Entries must be a minimum length of .750 words and may not exceed 1000 words.

There is no official form for this scholarship. To be considered, entries consisting of the completed essay, student name, parent or guardian name, address, phone number, attending high school and senior photo must be submitted to one of our office locations or postmarked by Friday, March 19, 2010.
