Your studies are centered round your interests. You learn best when you learn about something that has meaning to you. If you are interested in science, you will use science to help you learn math, social studies, and English. You can do the same for other interest areas such as agriculture, trucking, flying, farming, family and consumer economics, or health care.

You help build your own learning plan. Your first job at REALITY school is to design a learning plan. This is done with you, your parent or guardian, and a teacher. You design a learning plan that meets the Wisconsin Standards, meets your needs in terms of your current knowledge in various subject areas, and is meaningful and interesting to you. This plan is the basis for how you use your time while you are at school.

You have choices in your learning. You have more choice in what you learn, when you learn, how you learn, and where you learn. There will be times when you will be working in a focus group in the academic areas but the times will be based upon your need and personal schedule.

You will be working with students from sixth through 12th grades. In the work place today we have to work with all kinds of people. In REALITY school, you will work with younger and older students. You may be asked to help younger students in their learning or you might be learning from younger or older students. We learn much from each other yet we have to be responsible for our own learning.
